About Premiere Care
Based in Leyburn, in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales National Park, Premiere Care was founded by Ursula Bussey in 2001. From humble beginnings operating from Ursula’s own home, Premiere Care has quickly grown to become a large, independent, family run, domiciliary care agency, supporting clients from across North Yorkshire and as far afield as London and the Home Counties.
In June 2016 Ursula’s son Nick joined the business. Nick brought his extensive experience from 25 years as a senior manager and CEO at Citizens Advice Bureau to the team, he works alongside Ursula managing the business. In November 2018 we registered with the Care Quality Commission as a Domiciliary Care Provider, our registration number is 1-5328704662. Nick, as the ‘Responsible Manager’, ensures that all our systems and procedures are current and compliant with the Care Quality Commission guidelines. Our Board of Directors also includes Ursula’s daughter Karen Gill, who is a non executive Director. Karen has over 30 years of experience working as a senior manager with health based services, most recently as Director for a GP co-operative in Buckinghamshire. As well as advising the board on current practice, Karen also undertakes an annual external audit of our systems to help us ensure we are operating in line with our stated policies and procedures.
As part of our plan to grow and develop Premiere Care, Rachel Bussey (Ursula’s daughter-in-law) joined the team in 2018 as our Business Development Manager, Rachel has considerable experience of training, recruitment, marketing and business development. Rachel is responsible for our recruitment strategy and marketing with a focus on promoting the business growth and development.
The finances in any business are very important and we are extremely fortunate to have the services of an excellent Finance Officer in Paula Scott. Paula has a number of clients across Wensleydale and has been working with Premiere Care for many years.
Our office team, who help run Premiere Care on a day-to-day basis, is led by our Operations Manager Nicky Robertson. Nicky has been working with Premiere Care for over 12 years and also works part time as a self-employed carer. To cope with an increase in the popularity and demand for our service, Rachael Monaher has recently joined the team as our new Care Co-ordinator. Nicky and Rachael are supported by Yvonne Caldwell who as well as looking after some of our hourly clients provides cover in the office when needed.
