Taking Care of Plants

"Sometimes we need to recruit from abroad, it is therefore important that both Premiere Care and our recruitment partner uphold rigorous ethical standards. so our Filipino carers are never charged for their visa or the job. When they start working for us we take seriously our duty of care for their wellbeing."

- Nick Bussey Managing Director

Longterm live-in care

As well as our traditional live-in care offer, we are now offering a different live-in service where the carer lives with the client longterm. This means you have just one carer living in your home, instead of many different carers swapping in and out, as is the standard model in our country. The carer lives full time with you and gets one day per week off, usually a Sunday when the client's family often want to visit. If you need care on a Sunday we can work with you to sort that. During their holidays there is no charge however, we can provide cover or you can chose an alternative care solution, for example spend time with your family.

If we cannot find you a suitable carer from within the UK we will recruit overseas, in this event we usually recruit Filipino carers. It was important to us to identify a partner who is accredited by and works alongside the Philippines government, with experience of navigating the rules and regulations that must be adhered to. Our partner is also included on the NHS ethical recruiters list, to achieve this there are various regulations to follow that are largely around preventing exploitation, such as  demonstrating that none of the initial recruitment, travel and visa related costs are met by the carer or their family.

  Why choose a longterm carer?

The carer quickly develops  knowledge of how you want things done and where things are in the house and all the little things that make life pleasurable.

When you know your carer is going to be with you in the longterm it helps build trust and deepens the bond between client and carer. This improves the whole care experience.

It is far more cost effective to have a dedicated live-in carer because:

- Fixed hours, means you pay for the times of day you need care at.

-There are no travel costs.

- It's less expensive, as the carer lives with you full time.

Zero disruption to the household from having carer changeovers. We find having a longterm carer reduces client anxiety levels at handover, especially if they have any form of dementia.

Family can cover the day off. Many families visit at weekends and having a longterm carer means the carer needs a day off each week. This means you are not having to pay for care while family are visiting.
